The Henrico County Neighborhood Watch Council is an invaluable crime fighting partnership between Henrico County citizens and the Henrico County Police Division. Neighborhood Watch helps to reduce the fear and incidence of crime, thus, making Henrico County a safer place to live, work, and play. It enlists the assistance of citizens as additional "eyes and ears" in each participating neighborhood to watch for any suspicious activity and immediately report all crime and suspicious activity to police.
Neighborhood Watch Benefits
The Community Resource Guide (PDF File) is a step-by-step manual for Henrico County residents that was developed to help them solve neighborhood problems, which affect their quality of life. Each time you use the guide, it will empower you to quickly and effectively resolve neighborhood problems, which police often cannot help you with. It will also help decrease the number of calls for service that Henrico Police officers respond to that are more effectively handled by the citizens themselves, which will increase the number of officers available to handle priority calls for service.
The guide will change as new problems develop and as laws and codes evolve, so refer to it each time you encounter a problem. This will ensure that you have the most current information and instructions available.
